Another attraction at the Castle Obermayerhofen is the “Gaisrieglhof”.

A 250 year old farmhouse from nearly Pöllau has been rebuilt here, faithful in every detail.

A four minutes walk from the castle, admist green meadows bordering the forest, this idyllic wooden chalet would make an ideal background be any Rosegger-film. During the summer, the most beautiful views can be enjoyed from the terrace.

The 2 rooms of the restaurant are heated by wood fired ovens.

Just as 200 years ago, there is cooking over an open fire in the farmers smoke-kitchen.

The stone-walled cellar is home to some of the best wines from the area, and we will arrange a menu according to your personal wishes.
